Tong Sui suddenly woke up halfway, pushing his head in surprise and fear. “Ye Linyuan, what are you doing? If you keep kissing, it will be noticed.”
“Then I’ll kiss somewhere that can’t be seen.”
Tong Sui immediately felt a warmth at his waist. He clutched Ye Linyuan’s hair, his snow-white and slightly flushed fingers buried in his dark locks.
“It tickles.”
……
Tong Siniang sat at the dining table eating breakfast. When she saw Tong Sui and Ye Linyuan slowly descending, Tong Sui’s face was still red, and there were many creases at the hem of his uniform.
Tong Sui deliberately chose a spot where Ye Linyuan couldn’t reach him and sat down to start eating.
Fortunately, Tong Siniang was busy dealing with company matters while eating breakfast and looking over documents. “I was afraid you guys slept in, hurry up and eat, I’ll take you over later.”
Ye Linyuan said, “No need, I’ll take him.”
Tong Sui was about to refuse.
Tong Siniang quickly interjected, “That’s fine. How did you rest last night? My brother isn’t good at taking care of people.”
“I rested well.”
Ye Linyuan looked at Tong Sui.
Feeling his gaze, Tong Sui felt as if he had been stung by a bee and wished he could bury his head in the dish in front of him.
Ye Linyuan said, “But I wonder if I can come often in the future.”
Tong Siniang replied, “Of course, that’s not a problem. Come whenever you want, I’ll have Tong Sui host you.”
Tong Sui immediately exclaimed, “No!”
Tong Siniang looked at him with some confusion, and Tong Sui hurriedly explained with a flushed face, “I, I mean Dean Ye is usually very busy, we shouldn’t waste his time, right?”
Tong Siniang said, “That’s right. So you need to study well and don’t always make people worry. Got it?”
“I understand.”
Tong Sui breathed a sigh of relief, managing to avert that situation.
After breakfast, Tong Sui got into Ye Linyuan’s car, heading to the military academy.
Ye Linyuan drove steadily, his large fingers easily gripping the steering wheel, making it hard to disturb him.
He was really too tired.
Before long, Tong Sui relaxed his guard and leaned against the car seat, drifting off to sleep again.
The car stopped outside the dormitory building.
Ye Linyuan turned his head and saw Tong Sui’s peaceful sleeping face, his head tilted to one side, revealing a smooth forehead under some stray hair.
He had indeed gone a bit overboard yesterday.
Whenever he got close to Tong Sui, it felt like his rationality was being pulled away; Tong Sui’s blushing face had a magical allure he couldn’t get enough of.
Ye Linyuan softly said, “We’re at school now, baby.”
Tong Sui frowned, mumbling something quietly. When he leaned closer, he heard him say, “Don’t do that, Ye Linyuan.”
Hearing his name, Ye Linyuan was momentarily startled, unable to contain the smile that crept onto his lips. “Do what?”
Tong Sui opened his eyes and found himself staring into his amused gaze.
“Huh?”
He froze for a few seconds before realizing he had already arrived at school.
Tong Sui said, “I’ll get out now.”
Ye Linyuan took his hand, unbuckling his seatbelt, and softly said, “See you at noon?”
His proximity was too close.
His hand lingered near Tong Sui’s leg.
Tong Sui replied, “No, I’m too tired.”
Ye Linyuan said, “Just for lunch, nothing else.”
Realizing he had overthought it, Tong Sui quickly nodded, “Oh, got it.”
He closed the car door, his heart still racing a bit.
Ye Linyuan chuckled, watching Tong Sui walk away in sync with his movements.
His smile widened.
When Tong Sui reached the classroom, he sat down and yawned multiple times.
Xiao Pang said, “Sui Ge, did you go out to have fun during your break? Why are you so tired this early?”
It was all Ye Linyuan’s fault.
“I didn’t sleep well,” Tong Sui diverted, “What class is today?”
“Physiology lecture.”
Tong Sui nodded.
The lecture was held for the entire Mecha department; gazing at the projection on the screen, sleepiness washed over him.
Tong Sui quietly told Xiao Pang next to him, “I’m too tired. I’ll take a nap for a bit; if Ye Linyuan comes, remember to call me.”
“Okay.”
Tong Sui closed his eyes and fell asleep, listening to the background chatter. Eventually, he rested his head on his desk and slept soundly through the entire morning.
He didn’t catch a single word from the physiology lecture.
As soon as the class bell rang, his light brain buzzed promptly with a message from Ye Linyuan.
Ye Linyuan: [I’m downstairs.]
Tong Sui was startled and quickly replied: [Why aren’t you waiting for me in the office?]
Ye Linyuan: [I was afraid you wouldn’t come.]
Xiao Pang and the others finished packing their things and looked at Tong Sui. “Sui Ge, are we going?”
Tong Sui said, “You can go first.”
“Okay.”
As he watched the classroom gradually empty, Tong Sui began to gather his belongings and walked downstairs.
As he exited the stairwell, that tall figure stood out particularly among the crowd of students. Every student passing by would steal a glance and hurry away as if chased by a mouse.
Tong Sui walked over.
The surrounding students couldn’t help but glance a few more times.
Ye Linyuan said, “Let’s go.”
Tong Sui replied, “Mm.”
Once they reached a secluded path on campus, the stares finally subsided, allowing Tong Sui to relax considerably. He then heard Ye Linyuan say, “I didn’t have time to cook today, so I had the assistant order takeout.”
“Okay.”
Tong Sui followed Ye Linyuan into the elevator. When the doors opened, the assistant’s smile seemed even more enthusiastic than before upon seeing him.
He was led into the office.
Even though it wasn’t homemade, the quantity of food Ye Linyuan ordered was excessive, and the packaging indicated it was quite pricey.
Ye Linyuan opened the packaging for him, carefully arranging the dishes into his hands.
“Eat, and if you’re tired, you can sleep later.”
